Hello and welcome to ASIATIC TAKES by Adrianne blog project. I’m Adrianne, a #slaysian dev and blogger of this blog. 1 The entry title was written in Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines. I was born and lived there for ten years until my family decided to migrate to America at age 10.
This site is still under construction, as I’m still trying to figure out what I really need to “spice up” this blog a bit. I don’t plan on making this super fancy-looking, but at least presentable and more user-friendly for those who care more about site content than the aesthetics.
I’ve already listed a couple of topics at a personal notebook, but still haven’t figured out which topics to write about. Should I write about what’s going on in my old country? 2 How about the impact of Asian Pop (in this case, K-Pop) on the American Pop Music industry? Maybe I can write about my favorite J-Pop groups aside from my ultimate favorite, MADKID? Why are some Asian races so bitter and insecure at almost everything that surrounds them? What are “tiger parents” and their impact on their children? etc., etc.
Of course, I can’t promise that I would keep up with everything that’s going on right now, therefore I’m only going to limit to topics that I’m really interested in or topics that would make me ponder and have my personal take in them. There will also be posts about local Asian-related events also. For example, May is Asian-American month and October is Filipino-American month, etc. etc.
This is a short intro entry. I want to save my lengthy ones for the more in-depth takes in future entries. Thanks for the visit!
